Festival goers fill “amnesty boxes” at entrance

Festival-goers who had drugs, weapons, or anything not allowed into the Empire Polo Grounds were given the opportunity to get rid of it.

The Indio Police Department set up “amnesty boxes” near every entrance of the venue. Police shared a picture of one the boxes. It had drugs, prescription pills, knives, and even scissors inside.

IPD said the said Coachella Weekend 2 was a success, thanks in part to the “amnesty boxes” and people using them.
