Cabot’s Pueblo Museum hosts ‘Evening at the Pueblo’
Many came out to support a Desert Hot Springs landmark Saturday evening.
Cabot’s Pueblo Museum hosted its ‘Evening at the Pueblo.’ The event included dinner and a raffle. Proceeds go back to the museum’s programs and preserving the legacy of Cabot Yerxa- one of the Coachella Valley’s original homesteaders. CBS Local 2’s Patrick Evans served as the event’s emcee.
“It’s an awareness for the community, where we are and what we’re doing, and to let people know that this is something so unique to Desert Hot Springs and the Coachella Valley,” said executive director Irene Rodriguez. “Having events like this increases our exposure to more people.”
Guests also got a sneak peak of a new gallery at the museum, one that has been closed to the public since Yerxa lived there. The gallery will be opening to the public later this summer.
