Palm Springs residents gather for “All Paws on Deck” public meeting
Palm Springs Parks and Recreation subcommittee planned the meeting at the Pavilion to give dog-owners an opportunity to give input and feedback on what they would like to see in a new dog park at Demuth Park.
City officials say Demuth Park located on the corner of Vella Road and Mesquite will be the dog park that accommodates the dogs and their owners.
"We have so many active residents and so many active pups and one of the reasons why we struggle with our Palm Springs dog park is because we have such high usage and so its clear we need a whole dog park maybe a few more to really help address some of our struggles," said Cynthia Alvarado-Crawford, Director of Department of Parks and Recreation.
The Parks and Recreation subcommittee plans to take suggestions offered by residents and present them to the planning commission which meets on Monday.
