Large crowd gathers outside Riverside County Supervisors meeting
Large crowds gathered outside the Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting this morning.
Crowds held up signs demanding the reopening of the state.
The Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on a proposal to revoke the county's health orders in favor of aligning with Governor Newsom's stay-at-home order.
If the proposal is passed, the county's orders on the closure of schools, limitations on short term lodging, restrictions on golf courses, and the requirement of face masks and social distancing would be eliminated.
The proposal would align the county to Governor Newsom's less stringent stay-at-home order, in which face coverings are recommended, but not mandatory.
News Channel 3's Shelby Nelson will have more on today's vote, which is expected to come later this afternoon. Stay with News Channel 3 on-air and online for continuing updates.
