Original Story 5/26/20:
Ernie Ball Inc., a Coachella-based manufacturer of premium guitar strings, bass strings, and guitar accessories, is offering up to five free face masks for Coachella Valley residents in need during the coronavirus pandemic.
Residents can place their orders at https://www.ernieballmasks.com/.
The two-ply 100% cotton knit jersey masks, which come in both children and adult sizes, will be shipped to your home and delivered for free.
In April, Ernie Ball Inc. switched a portion of its production line to make 400 to 500 face masks a day.
CEO Brian Ball spoke about his desire to help our community during this tough time.
"I’ve had incredible role models my whole life, especially my dad and my grandpa. They have been really effective at taking a bad situation and figuring out how to make it a good one," said Brian Ball, CEO of Ernie Ball Inc. "It’s the ethos of our family and our business. So right now, it’s our duty to use the equipment that we have to help our community."
The company has donated several masks to non-profits in need, including Martha's Village and ACT for Multiple Sclerosis, as well as first responders, food banks, local farmworkers and agricultural companies.
