Huge scarf placed on Forever Marilyn statue to promote new season of ‘Survivor’
The "Forever Marilyn" statue in downtown Palm Springs has a new look, can you spot it?
Crews unwrapped a huge scarf and placed it around Marilyn's neckline. It's a stunt to promote season 45 of the CBS hit series "Survivor"
"Forever Marilyn" was chosen as one of several iconic locations across the United States.

In total, the promotion will involve 8 landmarks across the country.
"Each of the landmarks or characters symbolizes the concept of strength in its own unique way – from their physical size or their role in honoring an outstanding achievement in their field, to commemorating a historical figure who has overcome an incredible obstacle. Together, these landmarks parallel the different examples of strength exemplified by the contestants on the show throughout SURVIVOR’s 45 seasons"
