Mountain biker seriously injured on Rancho Mirage trail, air rescue underway
First responders are working to rescue a mountain biker who was seriously injured while on a trail in Rancho Mirage.
The incident was reported at around 5:07 p.m. on the Art Johnson Trail.
There were no additional details available on how the biker was injured as of 5:50 p.m. Friday.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office Rescue 9 helicopter is overhead performing a hoist rescue of the patient. An air ambulance is en route to the scene.
