Man shot in Indio Park; School lockdown lifted
Indio Police said that they responded to a shooting around 9:50 a.m. Monday in the area of North Jackson Park near Crest Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Paramedics were on scene as of 10:15 a.m. Monday treating the victim.
Nearby Andrew Jackson Elementary School on Kenner Ave. was placed under a precautionary lockdown which was lifted before 11:00 a.m.
Police tell News Channel 3 that the suspect is outstanding.
