Pro-Palestinian supporters in the valley rallied together at Congress member Raul Ruiz's office in Palm Desert in response to an email they were sent about the Isreal Hamas conflict.

A local woman passionate about a push for a permanent ceasefire says she was upset at what she read.

Below is the email in question that upset Jazmin Angulo (pro-Palestinian supporter) and the members of @CoachellaForPalestine:

Angulo sent News Channel 3 the emails. "Many of us and people are not happy with his response," says Angulo. "We feel he, as a congressman, should be supportive of Palestine just as much as Israel. As a Congressman, he should stand up for humanity and push for a Permanent Ceasefire."

While we were at the early morning rally, we saw the participants being asked to leave private property. They were initially outside Ruiz's building in Palm Desert, but the police asked them to move the protest to Washington St.

Another rally is set to start at 5 p.m. in front of Armtec Defense in Coachella.

News Channel 3 reached out to the Congress member's office for an interview or statement on the tension the Israel-Hamas conflict is creating in the valley and his response to what has transpired after releasing his email. We were told that the Congressman is currently en route to D.C.

News channel three has been tracking both Pro Israel and Pro Palestinian rallies in the valley. On Sunday, the local chapter of StandWithUs hosted an Israel rally with the Destiny Church in Indio. There was a tense moment where a pro-Israel man swung an Israeli flag at a pro-Palestine supporter's Palestine flag as they drove by the rally on Highway 111.

Tune in at 4,5 and 6 to hear what the Congressman has to say and stay updated on how the conflict impacts valley residents.
