Palm Desert Food and Wine Festival brings out travelers, food, and wine enthusiasts

The Palm Desert Food and Wine Festival team brings thousands of people a first-class culinary experience.

The event, produced by Palm Springs Life magazine, is in the El Paseo shopping district in Palm Desert, California. Premier chefs from near and far will share cuisine and beverage advice and taste tests throughout the event. The festival team says it will feature a roster of the nation's top chefs, vintners, and brewmasters.

"We just experienced an amazing salad with a garlic paste underneath and an art, and I don't even know what was in it," says Thomas Soule. "But it was so good. And this cauliflower soup was fantastic." Even the attendees have been praising the chef and the gourmet. "Usually, like a banquet, sort of waters down the recipe by about 20% or so," says Patrick Service. "This was about 100%, so this came out of guns blazing. It was delicious. So, the chickory salad was awesome. And so it was the soup. "

Thomas Soule, with the City of Palm Desert, shares how the event is fun and beneficial to the Coachella Valley. "People come here, stay at a hotel or an Airbnb, shop, dine, and overall, it just helps everybody out," says Soule.

As the event is celebrating its 12th year, all attendees are also helping to support the Find Food Bank

Some event organizers tell us that out of the 12 years that the food and wine festival has been in the Coachella Valley, this is the most James Beard award-winning chefs they have had.

Service says he is learning new tricks. "Leeks are particularly hard to clean, and they drive me nuts, and to know how to cut lengthwise and clean it down the lengthwise cleans a lot faster," says Service. "So I think that's pretty cool."

Event Schedule

"Saturday is the grand tasting here, so this tent will be transformed with wineries and restaurants from around the area," says Soule.
