As actors strike drags on, impact in Coachella Valley continues

Local actors and studios must change how they make money as the actor's strike continues. On Wednesday, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and the SAG AFTRA notified the public that the negotiations were suspended. The strike continues.

A local actor also wants the public to know that they are human. Danielle Kennedy says that If they do not get work, they must cut back and count every dollar, waiting for the next gig. She says she has sold cars and, just like everyone else, is concerned about going to the grocery stores.

News Channel 3 spoke to a local business owner in July. Levi Vincent said that he started his business to amplify the movie and television industry in the valley and shockingly had to reassess his plan when SAG AFTRA went on strike. Since then, he decided not to re-purpose the space like his original plan. Levi Vincent says he is fighting for his dream and "will continue to market and target film television and still photography as potential clients."
