Calm weekend, wind on the way
Higher winds are set to return this week as a trough of low pressure arrives on Monday.
Conditions will be breezy on the valley floor by Monday night. Peak wind gusts will occur in more wind-prone areas like the San Gorgonio Pass, High Desert and mountain pass areas.
This trough of low pressure will also push daytime high temperatures down into the upper 60s which is below our seasonal average of 73°. Overnight lows will remain in the upper 40s.
Precipitation is also a possibility this upcoming week for areas west of the Coachella Valley. It is unlikely that we will see rainfall in the valley this week but cloudy conditions can be expected.
