Thursday: Warmer with clouds
Warmer than Wednesday, Palm Springs returned to the 80s this afternoon recording a high 5° above normal. It's not a huge difference but it does continue to keep a warmer-than-normal trend with us for the entire week.
The reason for the warmth is a ridge of high pressure in place over the west coast which is staying in place until the early weekend.
We'll keep the the 80s into Saturday before a trough of low pressure arrives on Sunday bringing a significant cooling to our desert and fresh snow to local mountains.
