Gusty winds to kick start the week
Windy weather for the second day in a row with gusts surpassing 50 MPH in wind-prone areas, like Whitewater. Palm Springs International Airport has recorded a peak gust of 35 MPH as of this afternoon.
The wind will stick around past sunset but will gradually weaken through the night. Expect breezy conditions to remain into Tuesday.
A high of 81 degrees was recorded in Thermal while Palm Springs maxed out at 78 degrees. A subtle warming will take place through the middle of the work week before returning to the low 80s by next weekend.
