Winds start to pick up as temperatures start to fall

A Wind Advisory has been called by the National Weather Service. This will go into effect at 5PM Friday and last through 5AM Sunday.

Tomorrow, we will start to see the large trough in the Pacific Northwest dip south into California. Temperatures will continue to fall, however, our wind gusts will also become stronger.

By tomorrow evening, we will feel some noticeably stronger wind gusts in the valley. They will for the most part remain isolated to the typical wind-prone areas. However, Saturday will see stronger and more widespread gusts.

A First Alert Weather Alert will also go into effect tomorrow evening. This alert is for gusty conditions in the Coachella Valley which could lead to air quality and visibility concerns as well as road closures. The alert will be in place through Sunday morning.

We will be under a First Alert Weather Alert for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Expect windy and gusty conditions during this time. Temperatures will also fall considerably. Highs this weekend will be at least 15° below average. Temperatures will start to rise as we head into next week.
