First Alert Weather Alert: Gusty and dusty weekend continues

A First Alert Weather Alert remains in effect through Sunday evening for windy conditions that could impact your plans. A strong area of low pressure is bringing gusty winds and cooler temperatures along with the threat of reduced visibility and poor air quality.

A Wind Advisory will stay in effect through 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Travelers, especially high-profile vehicles, should exercise extra caution this weekend through the San Gorgonio Pass. Blowing sand and dust will likely reduce visibility at times.

You can find additional details about the roads that have been impacted by this weekend's windy conditions here.

An Air Quality Alert is in effect for the Coachella Valley through Sunday night due to the elevated particle pollution from windblown dust and sand

As we move into the overnight hours, winds will begin to calm across the valley. It may still be breezy in some of the more wind-prone spots, but widespread winds would not be an issue.

Winds will ease fairly quickly heading into early next week. Temperatures will rebound into the upper 80s for Monday. The 90s will make a comeback by Tuesday.
