Home catches fire in DHS

A home in Desert Hot Springs caught fire just after noon today but was quickly put out by firefighters. The fire happened at an 800 square foot home on Acoma Drive near West Drive. Attempted Abduction, Indio

Two skateboarders aged 12 and 13 reported today that a man driving a van pulled alongside them and asked if they could help him find his dog, in what police were investigating as a possible abduction attempt. Police were called around 8:15 a.m. and went to a Rite Aid store at 47- 985 Monroe St.

Fire burns brush in Thermal

Cal Fire confirms a 3-5 acre fire is burning heavy brush on the 69-400 block of Filmore St in Thermal.
