Desert Ridge Academy student taken to hospital after being hit by car
A Desert Ridge Academy student was taken to the hospital after being hit a vehicle outside of the school.
The incident happened on the 79700 block of Ave 39 in Indio at just before 3:30 pm.
According to Sgt. Dan Marshall of the Indio Police Department, the student was taken to the hospital after complaints of pain, the severity of his injuries are unknown at this time.
The driver stayed on scene and fully cooperated with police, they were not sighted and allowed to leave after police investigated, Marshall said.
