‘Forgotten Frey’ opens for tours during Modernism Week
Modernism Week began Thursday in Palm Springs. Palm Springs Life has partnered with the homeowners of “The Forgotten Frey: The Cree House” to host tours for the public.
Built in 1955, organizers say this is the first time in 40 years the house has been seen by the public. The house has been restored to its original condition, including the bright yellow balcony that had been painted over and the wall refrigerators that were in need of repair.
Christopher Kennedy Compound open for tours
“It’s really the unveiling of something that’s just an architectural gem. This actually is one of the most intact residences or even structures by Albert Frey,” said Julie Rogers from Palm Springs Life.
Tours are daily. There is a shuttle that takes visitors from BMW of Palm Springs to the house.
