More Coachella Tickets Available To The Valley
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival wristband – something many describe as “priceless.”
However, for a price of three hundred and thirty dollars, it can be yours. Goldenvoice has released a limited amount of general admission passes as “a continued thank you to the residents of the Coachella Valley.”
“I was too late, they sold out before I could buy them,” valley resident Josh Davidson said. “I’m kind of jealous of the Tupac thing, now that I know, I want to go.”
Davidson’s luck turned, as it did for the entire valley, from north Palm Springs to the Salton Sea.
Passes will be for sale at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday from 8 a.m to 10 p.m., or while supplies last. They cost $330 each. Each valley resident can purchase two tickets with proof of residency. Both attendees must be present for the wristband to be put on their hand.
Most current wristband holders put in the time for their prized possessions.
“I was up until 2 in the morning getting them it was pretty nerve wrecking,” Megan Thorn, from Australia, said.
“We had to wake up at 4:30 to log onto the internet to get them at 5 am,” added Kim Shortridge from Australia.
“I don’t think that’s fair, really, I know people who waited online forever and they’re still trying to win tickets,” valley resident Debbie O’Brien said.
Yet, most people we talked to said two words — why not?
“They’re from the area. You have 100,000 people trapsing through their homes and their shops and everything so I mean, if they’re locals, we’re coming to them I don’t think it’s that much of a problem.”
“Why shouldn’t everyone have a chance at going if there are tickets available?”
“I think it’s probably going to be crazy I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight I’m just going to go over there and wait forever,” Davidson said.
For the wristband to the festival heard round the music world — it’s worth it.
There is no overnight parking at the Tennis Gardens.
