Faux Pelosi picture causes controversy

It’s something that a lot of people are able to do – if they have the right equipment or software: doctor up a picture to insert people who weren’t there for the shot or remove people who they don’t want in it. But House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is drawing fire for using the technique on her photo-sharing site. There were 61 congresswomen sworn in last week at the U.S. Capitol. But when time came to take a picture of the newly sworn lawmakers, only 57 were there. Pelosi’s aides inserted the images of the four absent members and it was posted on Pelosi’s Flickr site. While journalists and historians frown on manipulating photos like that, Pelosi is defending the move.
