Survey ranks Moreno Valley as worst place to wed

The personal finance experts at wallethub.com have released their list of best and worst places to get married in the U.S., and out of 150 cities on the list, Moreno Valley came in dead last.

The website compared the 150 biggest cities to find the cheapest and most convenient wedding destinations that also promise a memorable occasion. The survey took into account 18 factors including average cost of a wedding, the number of venues and event spaces and the availability of hotels, florists and bridal shops.

Coming in at the bottom of the list — mainly due to a high overall cost — are:

Anchorage, Alaska
Worcester, Massachusetts
Newark, New Jersey
Yonkers, New York
Moreno Valley, California

The top five cities on the list are:

Orlando, Florida
Las Vegas, Nevada
Atlanta, Georgia
Tampa, Florida
Springfield, Missouri

The findings from financial experts suggest you should consider not just the who and the when, but where you’re getting married. It might save you some money that can be better spent on the honeymoon.
