Rain Shuts Down Vista Chino, Threatens Other Roads
PALM SPRINGS – Vista Chino at the wash is impassible to vehicles, prompting the Palm Springs Police Department to close the road.
Drivers need to find an alternate route, namely Ramon or Dinah Shore.
Crews are also watching Date Palm and Vista Chino, where water is deep. Interstate 10, west of Jackson was the scene of a multi-car accident. Ramon at I-10 is reportedly flooded. Eastbound I-10 is the scene of a multi-car accident.
In Desert Hot Springs, city officials sent out an alert about roads that could be affected by rising waters:
· Little Morongo between Dillon and Pierson
· Dillon between Little Morongo and Palm
· Eighth Street
· Pierson Blvd west of Palm Drive
The City will provide road closures as they happen.
