Wind Batters Coachella Valley

A storm packing more wind will blow through the Coachella Valley, today. A high wind warning expires at 6pm, and a wind advisory kicks in through Thursday.

Areas of blowing sand and blowing dust will hit in the afternoon, giving drivers visibility of one quarter mile or less at times. Wind gusts could reach 55 miles-per-hour.

Overnight, winds kept many people awake, and some woke up to find patio furniture blown across their yards.
