Sanchez Back Home Following Stabbing

Former State Assembly candidate Steve Sanchez is now back home in the desert.

Sanchez was stabbed last weekend trying to break-up a fight at a party in Whittier.

The 34-year old is recovering, after undergoing 2 surgeries in Los Angeles. He was released from the hospital Friday night, and returned home Saturday afternoon.

He tells News Channel 3 he’s still is in pain, but is getting better every day.

27-year old Jonathan Moran of Highland and 29-year old Raymond Martinez of Rancho Cucamonga were arrested for the stabbing. Both are innocent until proven guilty.

Sanchez said he expects to hear from a judge Monday with new developments in the case.
