Firefighters Knock Down Fire At Martha’s Village and Kitchen

Riverside County fire crews quickly put out a fire at Martha’s Village and Kitchen in Indio on Monday morning.

The fire was reported at 12:32 a.m. at the center on Date Avenue in Indio, where all of the residents had to be evacuated.

Fire crews arrived to find the contents of a clothes dryer had caught fire.

Overhead sprinklers had been activated putting out some of the flames, but they also caused some water damage, according to firefighters.

The fire was put out, and residents were allowed back inside.
