Lindsay Lohan Investigated For Attack At Betty Ford Center
Many of the tabloid entertainment TV shows report actress Lindsay Lohan got into a fight with a staff member at the Betty Ford Clinic, where she is now living.
Deputy Herlinda Valenzuela said the alleged Dec. 12 dustup involved Lohan and a staff member at a building on the 7400 block of Daisy Lane, reportedly Lohan’s sober living residence.
The altercation took place about 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. and the alleged victim “desires prosecution,” Valenzuela said.
According to the website TMZ.com, the fracas occurred when the Betty Ford Center staff member confronted Lohan, who has been in the center since Sept. 28 and is scheduled for a Jan. 3 release, about being 10 minutes late for curfew.
The female staffer reportedly “put her hands” on Lohan, who pushed back and told her to “take your hands off of me,” TMZ.com reported.
Investigators for the Palm Desert Police Department have yet to submit a report to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office for possible filing of a misdemeanor battery charge against Lohan, 24.
In an e-mailed response, center publicist Russ Patrick said federal confidentiality laws prevent him from confirming or denying “any specific individual has been, is, or will be, a patient at the Betty Ford Center, the addiction treatment hospital located in Rancho Mirage.”
Lohan, who has served time in the past for DUI convictions, could face up to six additional months in jail if Beverly Hills Judge Elden Fox finds that she has violated the terms of her probation agreement.
