Officers Use Stun Gun On Woman Dodging I-10 Traffic
A woman who ran into traffic on a freeway in Banning before being subdued by officers using a stun gun was undergoing a mental evaluation today, police said.
According to Banning police, the 34-year-old woman was reportedly creating a disturbance at a business in the 1300 block of Ramsey Street around 2 p.m. Thursday, and when officers arrived, she ran onto Interstate 10, darting into traffic on both the east- and westbound sides of the freeway, before officers used a stun gun to subdue her.
She sustained minor injuries and was treated at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital. She was also undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, police said.
