Amber Alert Issued For Palm Springs Boy

An Amber alert has been issued for a 2-year-old boy who authorities say was abducted in Palm Springs by his mother, who was armed with a knife.

Police said the child, Johnny Jacob Gonzalez, was taken around 11:30 a.m. from 2611 Linden Way.

According to the abduction alert, the boy was allegedly taken by his mother, Brandi Marie Gonzalez, 22, who was last seen driving a white, four-door 2000 Mitsubishi Galant with California license plate 6GUE552.

Police said the woman has joint custody of the child.

The boy, who has tightly shaved brown hair and brown eyes, was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue shorts and white athletic shoes, authorities said.

The woman was last seen driving a white 2000 Mitsubishi Galant with California license plate 6GUE552.
