Fire Crews Contain Fire At Mecca Recycling Plant

Firefighters with Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Dept. were on the scene of a commercial building on fire in Mecca on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 12:50 p.m. at the First Nation Recovery Recycling Center at the intersection of Gene Welmas Dr. and Avenue 62.

Firefighters confirmed there was an active fire inside the building, and were able to contain it to a pipe.

All five employees were taken out of the building without injuries.
