Mor Furniture means more jobs for the valley

Mor Furniture for Less is moving in to the valley and is looking to hire.
The company will take over two shops — Linder’s Furniture in Cathedral City and Legacy Home Furnishings in Rancho Mirage.

“It’s a great location and we look forward to servicing the community,” said Rick Haux, the CEO of Mor Furniture for Less.

Eightypositions areavailable — including sales, operations, delivery drivers and warehouse employees.

The business held a job fair this week and as of Wednesday, more than 150 peoplesubmitted their resumes in hoping to land one of the various spots.

“This is a great impact. I’ve been out of work for over a year, so hopefully something will happen for me,” said Susan Olsen, of Cathedral City.

Some of the applicants were full-time students,including Yolanda salinas, hoping to put her bilingual skills to work.

“I can express my skills to the customers, I can communicate wit them in both English and Spanish,” said Salinas.

Another job fair will be held next Monday at the Rancho Mirage location — or you can apply online at morfurniture.com
The stores will open this summer.

“It’s really important for us to have a good employee base to service the customers here and it’s important to offer people in the valley a good secure job,” said Haux.
