Date Palm overpass reduced in both directions

The Date Palm overpass on Interstate 10 in Cathedral City is down to one lane in each direction until 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Crews are pouring concrete for the new bridge and widening the west side of the overpass, according to Cal Trans.

The southbound curb lane will be restricted to concrete trucks and pumping equipment.

Use an alternate route if you can, such as Bob Hope Drive or Gene Autry Trail.

The project is expected to be completed this November.
