Coachella home catches fire for a second time this week
Firefighters doused a fire Wednesday at a Coachella home where they put out an electrical fire two days ago, a county fire department spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported at 8:30 a.m. at the home in the 51300 block of La Ponderosa Drive.
The fire was contained to a back room about 20 minutes later and no one was hurt.
The cause was under investigation, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
Monday’s fire, which reported about 3:45 p.m., damaged a bedroom and led to one person being examined for smoke inhalation.
It was unclear if it was the same room that was damaged Wednesday.
