More shaking near Salton Sea

The latest quake to hit south of the Valley struck just after 1pm Tuesday. The USGS says a 3.4 quake hit about 7 miles SSE of Ocotillo.

Meanwhile, There were two more measurable quakes centered in Brawley. A 3.5 quake struck early this morning and a 4.2 quake was reported just after 7pm Monday night.

Brawley has seen hundreds of quakes with the largest, 5.5, striking the area on Sunday. So far no injuries or deaths have been reported from the quakes but many businesses in the area were damaged, and at least 29 mobile homes were knocked off their foundations and declared unsafe to live in.

4 patients that had to be moved from a Brawley hospital remain at JFK Memorial Hospital for treatment.
