Power Outage in North Indio

An unconfirmed number of residents in north Indio lost power after 8p.m. Saturday after several transformers blew out, according to Indio police.

Calls to the Imperial Irrigation District were not returned.

Indio police say the outage is affecting residents and businesses located near Highway 111, Jackson Street, Avenue 42 and Jefferson Street.

There is no estimate on how many people have been affected.

However, viewers calling the newsroom say the outage has also affected Golf Center Parkway.

Audience members watching a Daryl Hall and John Oates concert were in the dark for at least 10 minutes at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, according to public relations manager Anndee Laskoe. Back up generators kicked in and the show resumed.
