Elderly man sentenced to life in prison for murdering his sister
A 75-year-old Lakewood man was sentenced today to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the financially motivated murder of his 70-year-old sister at her La Quinta home.
James Charles Oudin, 75, was convicted in May of first-degree murder for
financial gain in the death of Judy Munson. The victim, who owned two
successful cleaning businesses, was found in her home by her housekeeper on
June 11, 2011. She had been killed the previous day.
Co-defendant Wesley Elwin Gibbs Jr., 47, of Hesperia, was also convicted
in Munson’s killing and is scheduled to be sentenced this afternoon.
