National Date Festival Presidents’ Day Parade

Coachella Valley native and WBO welterweight boxing champion Timothy Bradley Jr. served as grand marshal of the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival Presidents’ Day Parade.

The parade started at 9 a.m. Monday at Miles Avenue and Deglet Noor Street in
Indio.

Bradley, a Cathedral City High School alumnus, is the current WBO
welterweight champion and former WBO and two-time WBC light-welterweight
champion.

In June, he defeated Manny Pacquiao, becoming the first to do so
since 2005.

Congressman Raul Ruiz also attended.

The fair is open daily at 10 a.m. through Feb. 24.
