Missing teenager believed to be with 24-year-old
A missing 14-year-old Indio middle school student beingsought by police today is believed to be with a 24-year-old man.
Guadalupe Garcia is thought to have gone willingly with Ivan MorenoCancino, said Indio police.
The teen was last seen Friday morning when she was dropped off nearJefferson Middle School at 83089 Highway 111, police said.
When a family member went to pick her up at the school Friday afternoon,she was not there, according to police.
Records show she did not attend school on Friday.Cancino may be driving a tan two-door 1995Mercury Cougar with the California license plate number #MJU058.
Cancino, who stands 5 feet tall and has a thin build and brown eyes, waslast seen last Thursday by coworkers, according to Indio police Cmdr. Hank Peeters.He said at the time that he might be heading to Mexico, Peeterssaid.
