Indio apartment fire destroys four units (VIDEO)
A three-alarm fire destroyed four units and slightly damaged three others at an apartment complex in Indio this morning, but no one was injured, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 12:26 a.m. at the Plaza Del Sol Apartments at 46299 Arabia St., said Melody Hendrickson of the Riverside County Fire Department.
A total of 67 firefighters responded to the blaze, which was contained just after 2 a.m., she said.
The Palm Springs Fire Department provided assistance to Riverside County firefighters in battling the fire, Hendrickson said.
Some residents were displaced and the American Red Cross was summoned to help them find temporary shelter, she said.
