Inland Empire gas prices keep falling

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped to its lowest amount since Jan. 30 Wednesday, falling 1 cent to $3.773.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has decreased for 28 consecutive days and is 5.1 cents less than one week ago, 23.5 cents lower than one month ago and 84.5 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped 24 cents over the past 28 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. The dropping prices were immediately preceded by a 10-day streak of rising prices totaling 15.8 cents.

The streak of decreases is the longest since a 32-day streak from March 1-April 1.
