Mobile home fire displaces family of five

Two adults and three juveniles had to find somewhere else to spend the night after a fire damaged the attic of their double-wide manufactured home in Sky Valley, a Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman said Sunday.

The fire was reported at 9:21 p.m. Saturday in the 20100 block of Smith Road, said Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

`Firefighters responded to a double-wide manufactured home with the smell of smoke present within,” Hendrickson said. “The fire was contained at approximately 10:10 p.m. to the attic.”

Two adults and three juveniles were displaced and the Incident Commander

requested the Red Cross for assistance finding them accommodations, she said.
