Palm Desert house fire displaces family of 7
A family of seven was displaced in Palm Desert when a fire tore through its single family home, fire officials said Tuesday.
The fire was reported at 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 44200 block of Kings Canyon Lane, said Mark Annas, a Riverside County Fire Department spokesman.
Twenty-three firefighters extinguished the flames by 11:44 p.m., Annas said.
The fire was initially reported to be coming from the attic, but Annas said he was not sure if it had spread by the time it was put out. The American Red Cross was called to aid the displaced family of four adults and three children.
No injuries were reported and a cause was under investigation.
