Last day to ride the tram before annual maintenance

Riders should expect rain for the last day on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway before annual maintenance closes the rail cars until late September.

The last Tram up daily is 8 p.m. and the last Tram down is 9:45 p.m. Trams depart at least every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour.

Expect rain in the late afternoon.

Starting Monday, workers will exchange a tram car’s carriage, test loads and emergencysystems, and clean, refurbish and paint the tram’s two stations, he said.

“These projects are always scheduled during our shutdown period toprevent any disruption to our guests’ overall tram experience,” said tramgeneral manager Rob Parkins.
