Car wash raises money for anti-bullying campaign

It’s a way to say “boo” to bullying. People in Palm Springs got a car wash to benefit the anti-bullying non-profit “Boo 2 Bullying”.

The group encourages acceptance and tolerance for the LGBT community. Located on the corner of Indian Canyon and Ramon, the space is an art gallery and workshop for people to express themselves.

“It does get better! You have to have the connection and the team – whether it’s family, your support team could be a best friend or your dog, I have three babies that support me, so it’s really finding positive people,” Dimitri Halkidis, founder of Boo 2 Bullying, said. “The end of the day is really ending bullying, stop hate, and accept people for who they are!”

One hundred percent of the proceeds went to the event. People donated anywhere from $10 to $100.
