The U.S. Border Patrol busted two immigrants who illegally crossed into the U.S. from Mexico while carrying 193 lbs. of marijuana Monday night.

The incident occurred at about 10:15 p.m.

According to the release, Border Patrol agents with the Calexico station were monitoring the remote video surveillance system when they saw two men carrying large bundles approach the International Boundary Fence.

Agents said the men crossed over the fence into the U.S. and began running north toward Interstate 8, but Border Patrol agents quickly caught them. They were carrying three large bundles of marijuana weighing 193 lbs. and estimated to be worth more than $115,900, according to the Border Patrol’s release.
