County District Attorney ordered to court

Riverside County District Attorney Paul Zellerbach will be headed to court next month to talk to the judge in the Pinyon Pines triple murder case. Robert Pape and Cristin Smith are charged in the murders of Becky Friedli her mother Vicki Friedli and Vicki’s boyfriend, Jon Hayward at their home back in 2006. The defendants face three counts of murder with special circumstance allegations of committing multiple murders. Pape’s attorney says the prosecution’s case against his client is “entirely circumstantial.” Today, a hearing on a motion to dismiss charges against Pape was postponed until October 6th and the judge ordered Zellerbach to attend as a witness.
