RivCo Sheriff’s Department holds job fair in Indio

Looking for a job?

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will hold a job fair in Indio Saturday.

Deputy Armando Munos said more than 150 people lined up for the event within the first hour.

Presentations on open positions will be given every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Indio Workforce Development Center. Tests will also be administered for most positions.

Job openings in the desert include crime analyst, cook, corrections chaplain, office and accounting assistant, dietitian, correctional deputy and clerk.

The sheriff’s department must fill more than 400 correctional positions to staff the East County Detention Center in Indio, slated to open at the end of 2016 (see our story on that here), as well as put an additional 500 deputies on the streets.

Applicants should schedule an appointment by calling (888) 564-6773 or emailing hrsheriffrecruiter@rc-hr.com.
