2 arrested after explosive device, meth found in 29 Palms
Deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man and a woman in Twentynine Palms Wednesday morning after discovering a military-grade explosive device and methamphetamine in a home where three children were living.
According to the sheriff’s release, deputies arrested 32-year-old Michael Brown and 36-year-old Melissa Dollard after serving a search warrant at 73958 Casita Drive around 8:30 a.m.
Deputies said they also found evidence that meth was being sold at the home.
The pair was arrested for possession of an explosive device, child endangerment and sales of methamphetamine. The three juveniles living at the home were taken into custody by Children Family Services.
The sheriff’s department didn’t say if the children were related to Brown or Dollard and the nature of the couple’s relationship wasn’t mentioned in the release either.
Brown and Dollard were booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and are being held on $500,000 bail.
