Bomb squad investigates suspicious device at Coachella park

The Riverside County Explosive Ordinance Team determined that a suspicious device found in a Coachella park Tuesday morning was not a bomb.

According to Riverside County Sheriff Spokesman Deputy Armando Munoz, they got a call around 10:30 a.m of a suspicious looking item at Las Flores Park on Van Buren and Avenue 48 in Coachella.

The bomb squad was called in to investigate. They determined that the item was not an explosive and opened the park late Tuesday afternoon.
