New airline service starts between Palm Springs and New York

New airline service connecting Palm Springs International Airport with JFK International in New York is underway.

The first non-stop flight between the two airports landed Thursday night carrying Palm Springs Mayor Robert Moon and Jet Blue executives.

The seasonal service during the valley’s busy season will continue five days a week, Thursdays through Friday’s, through May first.

Fares start at $99 dollars each way with a 21-day advance purchase.
